Meet Blair

After graduating from Pepperdine University and building an early foundation in fashion and advertising, Blair Chang entered real estate in his hometown of San Marino, California. His impact was immediate, earning Rookie of the Year in his first year. Soon after, he expanded his business across Los Angeles, beginning a career that would establish him as one of the region’s most accomplished luxury real estate professionals.

With a lifelong appreciation for architecture, design, and the cultural significance of exceptional homes, Blair developed a particular expertise in architecturally important and design-driven properties. In 2005, he partnered with Billy Rose to form Rose + Chang, uniting two professionals with a shared passion for extraordinary architecture and sophisticated representation.

Throughout his career, Blair has had the distinction of representing residences by some of the most celebrated names in American architecture, including Richard Neutra, Thornton Ladd, Marmol Radziner, Calvin Straub, Wallace Neff, Roland Coate, and Paul R. Williams. His deep understanding of architecture, combined with an instinctive ability to navigate highly sophisticated transactions with discretion, candor, and precision, has earned him the trust of an extensive roster of prominent and high-profile clients.

His work and expertise have been featured in numerous national and international publications, including Angeleno, GO Japan, Variety, Metropolis, The Hollywood Reporter, Men’s Book, and Space.

In September 2011, Blair joined Mauricio Umansky and Billy Rose in founding The Agency, with a vision to create a new kind of luxury real estate brokerage built around collaboration, exceptional service, architectural expertise, and a distinctly modern approach to the business. What began as a boutique firm has since evolved into an internationally recognized luxury real estate brand with a significant global presence.

Prior to founding The Agency, Blair and Billy Rose established and led the Architectural Division at Prudential California Realty, where Rose + Chang consistently ranked as the No. 1 sales team in Los Angeles County. Blair’s achievements have also earned repeated recognition from The Wall Street Journal, which named Rose + Chang among the Top 100 Residential Real Estate Teams in the United States multiple times.

His individual production has remained equally distinguished. In 2021, Blair was once again recognized as the top agent in The Agency’s Beverly Hills office, closing more than $166 million in sales volume that year alone.
