A Year of Celebrations: Looking Back at 2019’s Best Fetes

From our first Global Forum and 8th birthday party to new office openings and mega-mansion unveilings, this past year was filled with unforgettable celebrations. But more important than the glimmering glasses of bubbly, gourmet food and A-list crowds was The Agency’s contribution to GiveBack Homes. This year’s soirees helped raise funds to build homes for families in need in Los Angeles, Park City, Culver City, Denver and Orange County.

As we enjoy this year’s holiday party season and raise a glass to 2020, we take a look back at 2019’s most fabulous fêtes.

Global Forum & 8th Birthday

In September, we held our first-ever Global Forum, a two-day conference that brought together hundreds of agents from across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, as well as leading industry specialists and paradigm-shifting innovators. The event was followed by The Agency’s 8th Anniversary Party, where guests played lawn games, sipped cocktails and snacked on summertime BBQ fare.

ShoreBar for Charity

Mauricio Umansky, Santiago Arana and Sandro Dazzan got to work behind the bar at ShoreBar in Santa Monica to raise funds for Giveback Homes. The night was a pure success, raising thousands of dollars for a good cause.

New Office Openings

Our 2019 office expansions took us all over the country. In the spring, we headed north to Canada, where we opened two new offices on Vancouver Island in Victoria and Nanaimo. Over the last few months, we toasted the opening of our Corona del Mar office in true SoCal style—think tacos, sunshine and a custom Agency-branded surfboard—celebrated the Pasadena team's all-new office, and debuted fresh offices in Carmel-by-the-Sea and Healdsburg.

12255 Sky Lane

Mauricio Umansky and Santiago Arana’s Brentwood listing, 12255 Sky Lane, hosted two fantastic charitable events—one for Val Kilmer’s TwainMania foundation (which featured food by celebrity chef Curtis Stone) and another for adoption-focused organization, AdoptTogether.

227 N. Tigertail

Stars and influencers of all stripes came out in force to toast the unveiling of 227 N. Tigertail, Windsor Smith’s latest (and highly anticipated) home design in Brentwood. The debut party had it all—even a crew of synchronized swimmers (the Aqualillies), who took to the pool for a perfectly choreographed performance.

Serra Retreat

A home in one of Malibu’s most coveted enclaves, Serra Retreat, was unveiled with a charming garden party hosted by agents Cooper Mount and Sandro Dazzan. Guests sipped refreshing drinks as they wandered the lush grounds, which boasted Monet-inspired lily ponds and enchanting, 17th-century stone architectural elements.

848 Hot Springs Road

On a sunny day in Santa Barbara, Billy Rose invited clients and friends to sip Aperol Spritzes as they took in the palatial grounds of 848 Hot Springs Road, a 2.5-acre estate inspired by the legendary, 13th-century Alhambra palace in Granada, Spain. Guests strolled through the lemon tree-shaded garden and enjoyed pizzas made fresh in the estate’s outdoor stone oven.

1300 Beverly Estates Drive

A 150 million-year-old Allosaurus fossil was the undisputed guest of honor at the launch party for 1300 Beverly Estates Drive. Stunning as it was, the ancient animal could not upstage the exquisite 12,500-square-foot hillside estate, which is represented by Stefan Pommepuy and Blair Chang. The home garnered coverage from a number of national publications, including Mansion Global and The Wall Street Journal.

1895 Rising Glen

Agents from around the country flocked to our sunset event at Rising Glen, which was also filmed for Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles. Represented by David Parnes and James Harris and designed by world-renowned Make Architecture, the 9,400-square foot estate is conveniently located just minutes from the bars, shops and restaurants of the Sunset Strip.
